Uniform is an ongoing project in which I investigate and imagine the female uniform based on it’s historical underrepresentation. Trough image research, product creation, styling and photography I use a hunting and gathering mentality to rethink whatever is already there. Connecting history, athletic culture, functional garments, fashion, and fine art.  Questioning and reflecting on what has been, what is and how it could become.

Her uniform

Female representation in sports through the lens of fashion and uniformity
Six looks that study the possible uniforms of woman today, cross combining athletic culture and going against stereotypes. This lookbook is part of a bigger project that aims to explore the underrepresentation of women in visual sport culture trough words, garments, photographs and objects.

The persistent lack of female presence in the visual archives reflects historical masculine associations in sports, where traits like strength and aggression dominate. The study examines the interplay of fashion and sports as both commercial industries and sociocultural phenomena. Fashion shapes identities but often perpetuates stereotypes, much like so in sports. This project aims to search for a female uniform that uses research to reflect history and counter plays today’s expectations trough words, garments, photographs and objects.
